Have you ever heard of the sawblade shrimp? These hard to spot critters live in black coral bushes and come in a variety of colours. One thing they all have in common though is that they blend in very well with their surroundings. In fact, they are only found on black coral and sea whips and have evolved specifically to camouflage very well. This helps them avoid the many predators present on a coral reef. The diver adds a human interest to the photograph as she she peers into the coral while looking at the shrimp.
