Our Favourite Diving Destinations in Indonesia

Read a short summary of some of our favourite diving destinations in Indonesia.

Raja Ampat

The jewel of West Papua, Raja Ampat is a bucket list destination. Hundreds of small islands hide an endless supply of amazing landscapes above and below the surface. Known mostly for it’s high voltage sites, Raja Ampat boasts incredible colours and fish life. Manta rays, sharks, schools of fish, and endless soft corals are the highlights.

Komodo National Park

The most diverse of Indonesia’s diving destinations.  Black sand sites, beautiful coral reefs, and current swept pinnacles are only the tip of the iceberg. With a high concentration of invertebrates such as nudibranchs as well as countless manta rays, Komodo diving has something for everyone.

Lembeh Strait

The “muck diving” capital of the world!  The Lembeh Strait is one of the most unique destinations in Indonesia.  More than 40 dive sites are available with a seemingly endless variety of critters.  The underwater photoraphy options here are second to none, especially for macro lovers.  Highlights include mimic octopus, wonderpus, ghost pipefish, hairy frogfish and so much more!

Alor

A little known gem in eastern Indonesia. Alor is home to a variety of diving not unlike Komodo, a mix of both small and large. Alor offers a pristine environment for divers looking to get away from the crowd. Steep walls, currents, soft coral covered slopes, schools of fish are available for wide angle junkies. World class macro life is also on tap in the large Kalabahi Bay.
