Lembeh Photo Workshop 2025

We are happy to announce our 12th Annual Lembeh Photo Workshop 2025 with an exciting new twist!  Our 2025 Photo Workshop will take place from 18th – 26th July 2025, a total of 8 nights. This 8 night/20 dive package is a new step up from our previous 7 night/17 dive packages of years past. Our guests have asked about extending the workshop and we have obliged. Our hosts for the event is the wonderful NAD Lembeh Resort with their amazing team.  The package includes all meals, nitrox (air available), return airport transfers (surcharge for non peak hours), 2:1 guest to guide ratio, in water tuition, and digital copies of outlines.

We limit the number of participants during workshops in order to give plenty of one to one time to everyone. One of the highlights of an Underwater Tribe/Studio Sloss workshop is that the instructors don’t take cameras underwater. Our photo instructors accompany the students underwater with a slate in hand. One to one time underwater is often touted as the highlight of the workshop by past participants.

Our workshops are aimed at new underwater photographers as well as more experienced photographers.  We always start with the basics to get everyone on the same page before introducing other techniques.  Our workshops are relaxed and friendly with a very social atmosphere.  We don’t include competitions so there is no pressure on our guests. Everyone loves the one to one afternoon sessions with the instructors as this allows everyone to dig into the photos of the day and perfect their Lightroom skills. Lightroom and post processing is one of the most important parts of our workshops with several presentations throughout the week.

Our typical schedule runs as follows:

18th – arrival and introduction night

19th – 24th  – 2 morning dives, lectures after lunch, dive 3, open classroom and post processing, dinner or night dive

25th – 2 morning dives, lunch, afternoon final prepping of images for slidesow, BBQ dinner and farewell

26th – departure

Our workshops are for everyone! Each year we have a mix of brand new photographers and people who have been shooting for years. With multiple coaches on hand, we are able to customize the learning experience for everyone. We work individually with each participant underwater in order to master new skills.  The friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout the week is full of laughter and new friends. We have many repeat guests who return year after year to join us in Lembeh.

NAD is one of the top photography resorts in the world.  With incredible guides who understand photography, a large camera room, and a maximum of 2 guests per dive guide, NAD is truly a photographers resort.  The food and friendly service from the restaurant are second to none. A great mix of western and local dishes are served daily with every special request attended to.  NAD hosts a wonderful end of week BBQ for us on the final night of the week, always a favourite.  The rooms are clean and well maintained and come in two categories, pool side or bungalow. The bungalows are larger and located behind the beach front rooms in a more private setting.

Pricing Lembeh Photo Workshop 2025

There are two levels of accommodation available, Poolside and Bungalow. Pricing as below based on twin or double occupancy, single supplement is also available.  All pricing includes 8 nights/20 dives, airport transfers (within peak times), all meals, nitrox.  Additional nights before or after the workshop are available, please ask us for more information.

Before and After – Warm Up and Fun Week

As per years past we will once again be at NAD in advance of the workshop for a warm up week. However, unlike in years past we will also stick around for a few days after the workshop. We will be on location starting from the 14th of July for a warm up session. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get into form before the workshop starts. We think its a great idea to arrive early in order to get over any potential jetlag, test equipment, and get your buoyancy back in order. A new wrinkle that we are adding for 2025 is a post workshop Fun Week. Many people enjoy staying a few days after the workshop in order to work on their new skills and relax. This year we will stay at NAD until the 30th of July, this is a great excuse to get in some more fun dives! You can still take full advantage of asking questions of the instructors on site during this time.
