Coral reefs are incredible natural phenomenons. The intricate details of these living things truly are a wonder to behold in person. The Komodo National Park in Indonesia is home to many wonderful reefs both shallow and deep. Hard corals are a slow growing and fragile form of coral and are very vulnerable to a large list of threats. Diving or snorkeling above a healthy reef is always a pleasure for photographers and non-photographers alike. This photograph was taken at Tatawa Besar in Komodo at approximately 4pm which allowed me to highlight the sunrays along the reef.
