Komodo October 2017

We are happy to announce that we will be heading back to Komodo once again in 2017.  Our Komodo October trip will take place from 21 – 28 on one of our favourite boats, the Mermaid II.  The advantage of using this fast, twin engine steel ship is that we can depart from and return to Bali. That’s right, there are no domestic flights to worry about, nor missing dive days for off gassing.  This trip will encompass diving around Sumbawa, Sangeang, Gili Banta, north Komodo, and the hotspots in south Komodo including Manta Alley and Cannibal Rock (weather permitting).  This itinerary offers a fantastic mix of macro photo opportunities as well as the big things that Komodo is well known for: mantas, schooling fish, and sharks.

One of the members of the Underwater Tribe will be leading this trip to work with the very capable crew.  The added benefit of traveling with the Underwater Tribe on a live aboard trip is that there is always “informal” photography coaching on offer.  This includes presentations during the day and evenings as well as answering any questions about photography that people may have.

We only have a few spots left on this trip, please Contact Us soon if you would like to join this trip.  The Bali – Komodo route also offers a great opportunity to combine a Bali Safari with Komodo either before or after the liveaboard, click the link to learn more about a Bali Safari.
