Daily Photo Diver Trevally – Swimming in a Fish Tornado

For many people it’s a dream to be surrounded by a living mass of fish. There are not many species which allow divers to get close but big-eye trevally are one of them. These football sized fish tend to live in large schools and stay in a small home range. They can be curious and will allow calm divers to approach closely. This particular school used to reside close the USAT Liberty wreck in Tulamben, Bali. However, in recent years this school has mysteriously disappeared to parts unknown.
