Underwater photographers are mostly found far beneath the surface looking for interesting looking marine life. What many miss is the beautiful photographic opportunities in the shallows. One of the most interesting shallow subjects are waves and water movement. Of course these sort of photos are not necessarily the realm of scuba diving underwater photographers. Surfing photographers use different equipment than scuba divers use as a matter of necessity. Getting trapped under a wave while on scuba is not a good idea! Therefore, we certainly don’t suggest that others try to capture a similar photo on their next dive trip.
