PADI Freediver

Interested in exploring the ocean in silence and interacting with marine life in a natural way? Then becoming a freediver is for you! This course is the first step in mastering the breathing techniques needed to freedive in a safe manner. Join today and find out why Freediving is becoming such a popular way to experience the ocean.

To enroll in the Freediver course participants must be 15 years old but we also offer the Basic Freediver Course and the Skin Diver course for participants between the ages of 8 – 14. No prior experience is necessary but participants do need to have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health.

The PADI Freediver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge development about freediving principles through independent study with the PADI Freediver Touch™ (or your instructor may conduct class sessions).
  • Confined water session to learn breathhold techniques as well as static and dynamic apnea. Goal – static apnea of 90 seconds and dynamic apnea of 25 metres/80 feet.
  • Open water sessions to practice free immersion and constant weight freedives, plus proper buddy procedures. Goal – constant weight freedive of 10 metres/30 feet.

After completion of the PADI Course, we can introduce you to our network of freediving centers throughout Indonesia.
